After a long, long, long, long, LONG time, after close calls and false labors, my humorous mystery DEADLY FARCE has finally arrived. I'm so happy and proud. All this time people kept asking, are you hoping for a hardcover or a paperback? And you know, I was telling the truth when I said it didn't matter, as long as the book arrived at a healthy weight.
As usual, I should have been a bit more specific with the Universe.
DEADLY FARCE did indeed greet the world at a healthy weight...for a paperback. Since Baby Deadly is a hardcover, there's going to be a bit of a delay before we're able to bring our little bundle home. But at least we have this blog to be able to track its progress. Here it is today, resting comfortably:
Be assured little baby Deadly is receiving round the clock care from dedicated professionals carrying clipboards, wearing caps, and pushing things on wheels. And until we get the approval to bring baby home and allow friends, family, and strangers to hold the precious bundle, we'll be keeping you up to date on this blog.
Thank you all, so very much, for your constant support and friendship during this long road.
Hugs from the nursery,
jen

Jen,
You crack me up!
Will you be keeping us up to date about middle of the night issues? The burps and gas pains?
As long as Deadly Farce isn't colicky, you're good.
Just like any mother says after going through the pain, "It was all worth it in the end." :-)
Can't wait to read this one! Loved the picture!!!
Kim
I hope, at the very least, you got some fairly sophisticated anesthesia for this birth.
:-)
LOL! It's a beautiful baby, Jen. Congratulations!
Thanks ladies : )
you know, Kim, I'd gladly trade some sleepless nights for the joy of being able to bring Deadly home today. *sigh* But I have to trust that my precious is in the best place right now.
Julie, remarkably enough, it was a natural birth. The conception had its share of wine, though ; )
Melissa, thank you. I feel very blessed.
Oh, what a beautiful bouncing baby book! Congratulations, Jen!
That's absolutely the best baby picture I've seen all week! I can't wait to meet your newest.
Oh, thank goodness Baby Deadly is in such good hands. All great and wonderful things are worth waiting for and I know Baby Deadly is amazing!
Clever, clever way to handle the disappointment of a late baby!Love the picture.
I'm sure Baby Deadly will be wonderful whenever the book puts in it's official arrival. Can't wait.
Vanessa and Suzanne, thanks for the kind words. I know everyone thinks *their* baby is beautiful, so it's nice to hear others think Baby Deadly is not too tragic either.
Thanks Ginger and Judythe! We're looking forward to bringing Baby Deadly home, but right now are comforted knowing the precious bundle is receiving all the care it needs.
Awwww. Look how cute. It has your i's.
Every writer longs for that new baby. Congrats!
It's funny-- I can't tell whether wee DF looks like you or Bob... I think I see a little of both of you...
I'm raising a glass of single malt in honor of the new baby (or I will be, once I get home), and hope that with the wonders of modern technology, you will have Deadly Farce in your arms soonest!
Also, pegasus358 is me, Beth. :)
